Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

Tension seems to be mounting as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal—PEPT, has officially announced 6 of September as the day it will rule on the petition filed by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party–LP, Mr Peter Obi and his PDP counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenging President Tinubu’s victory in the last election.

Recall that the tribunal had on August 1, 2023, reserved judgment on the petitions after adopting the parties’ final written addresses.

The new date for the judgement was confirmed by the Registrar, Court of Appeal, Mr Umar Bangari.
