Senator Uba Sani
Senator Uba Sani was on Monday sworn in as the new governor of Kaduna State with a declaration that his administration will be for all citizens of the state regardless of religion, ethnicity and political divide.
The state Chief Judge, Justice Muhammad Tukur Mu’Azu, administered the oath of office and allegiance to both the governor and his deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.
In his inaugural speech, the newly sworn-in governor declared that he would treat all citizens of the state equally.
He also renamed the popular “Rabah road” where the late Sardauna Sokoto and Premier of defunct Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, resided as ‘Nasir El-Rufai road.’
The governor, reading from a prepared speech titled, ‘Hope renewed; Consolidation assured,’ noted that he assumed office as the state’s new helmsman, “well prepared, very determined and imbued with a clear vision for the continued progress” of the state.
He added that his administration would be guided by the principles of inclusiveness, fairness, justice and equity.
He also noted that under his watch, there won’t be issues such as settler/indigene dichotomy in Kaduna State, adding that “we are all citizens of Kaduna State with equal rights, privileges and responsibilities.” Read More>>>
