President Bola Tinubu has appointed Yoruba born Mrs Mojoyinoluwa Dekalu Thomas, as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Electricity Liability Management Company—NELMCO.
Dekalu-Thomas will serve in the position for a term of four years.
NELMCO is a product of the Electricity Power Sector Reform Act 2005—EPSRA and was incorporated on August 21st, 2006 as a limited liability company.
As one of the successor companies created under EPSRA and consistent with the directive of NCP, NELMCO was designated to assume responsibility for all of the then public electricity companies liabilities leading up to the November 1, 2013 as well as the management of the non-core assets of the companies, prior to disposal of same.
