The Organised Labour have described their discussions with President Bola Tinubu on petrol subsidy removal palliatives as “fruitful and productive.”

The president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero met with president Tinubu alongside his Trade Union Congress counterpart, Festus Osifo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, this evening.

After the meeting, Ajaero said they thoroughly examined the proposed measures, but that the concerns that sparked the protests persist.

He did not provide any assurance regarding the cancellation or continuation of the nationwide protests against the economic difficulties resulting from the removal of petrol subsidy.
