The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress—NLC, has blocked a pro-democracy group, Coalition for the Protection of Democracy—COPDEM, from using it’s labour house for an international human rights conference with the theme: “State of the nation’s democracy: Policing civil protests in a democratic society” after paying one hundred and ten thousand Naira for the venue, Parrot Vibes reports.

This medium authoritatively gathered that while guests were about to access the hall, a labour leader stormed the premises and told them they can’t use the labour house for the human rights conference. They were immediately directed to use elsewhere for the conference.

At the time of filing this report, the venue of the conference has been shifted to Merit House, Aguyi Ironsi street, Maitama Abuja.
