Tinubu Legal Team, began by submitting 18 documents relating to Defence of accusations against Chief Bola Tinubu in respect of his Nationality, University school records, USA travel Visa,
And in respect Of Peter Obi’s Labour Party registration and Kassim Shettimas withdrawal of bid for Borno Central Senatorial seat.
Most of the documents were consented by the INEC and APC lawyers, and objected by the Peter Obi legal Team… The documents were however admitted in evidence.
After a short break, the Tinubu legal Team presents its first witness, who is Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Majority Leader, from Ekiti State.
Lead in evidence, he begins by presenting his evidence, where he stated in deposition, that Tinubu/APC was shortchanged by 10929 votes in the Presidential election votes declared by INEC for Kano State.
He is also tendering the report of the ECOWAS election Observer Team.
He also presented the letter by Labour Party forwarding their membership list to INEC and another document of Anambra Labour Party membership for Anambra State.
The documents were rejected by Dr. Livy Uzoukwu SAN and consented by the other Counsels, but however, admitted in evidence
Cross examination of witness has begun..
Fagbemi for APC starts.. saying that the register of members for Labour Party Anambra State does not contain the name of Peter Obi.
He presents further that the Tinubu US drug case does not mention conviction or sentence.
He also tenders his id card as a member of New York Bar, corrected by the Judge to be member of American Bar Association.
One of the documents he presented has just been discovered to be a complimentary card.
We are still waiting to see if the Tinubu team will bring any strong or dramatic evidence, so far, have they have not been impressive with presentation by this first witness.

They started from a wrong premise … That LP submitted register of members 30 days to the election before Obi joined the party and therefore he was not LP member upon standing as LP candidate… a person that properly joined a party after the 30 day deadline remains a party member upon being granted a waiver to contest.
