The Africa Cup of Nations has already begun (qualifiers). Teams will be playing their group-stage matches. Group D belongs to Nigeria and Benin along with Libya and Rwanda. Last season (AFCON 2023) went amazing for the hosts as they went to the finals but lost to Ivory Coast.
Both Nigeria and Benin recently faced in the World Cup qualifier match in June 2024, which ended with the away team winning by a 2-1 score. Post the 2023-24 AFCON finals, Nigeria’s performance dipped as they lost to teams like Mali, Benin and others.
