The streets of Ajeromi ifelodun LGA has been taken over by containers of different sizes and nothing is being done by the government / local government.
This issue started around 2016 ,the residents thinking that it was a one time thing but unfortunately they are here till date and are not even thinking of moving, they just keep coming and coming, it just never ends.
Shops owners and business owners has been forced to either move out or change business to enable sales. Their arrival just made everything worse for residents living in the area.
The containers has spread throughout streets and other large areas which they have dominated and no chance of movement,from mile 2 ,oshodi, Boundary, coconut, Apapa wharf, Wilmer crescent, these areas has been affected badly, residents are moving out, shops are closing down, lives have been lost, Good roads are bad, the whole situation is Just bad.
Local government chairman has no concerns with the Containers because it’s business for him and his people, the people are suffering badly, we sleep with them at night and also wake up in the morning with them. That’s how it is 365 days.
Residents have pleaded with the government for a solution but it all fell on deaf ears, we can only pray and hope to God that it will end.
