DISTRESS CALL FOR AN URGENT INTERVENTION IN ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY!!!
I have great respect for those in authority and as well appreciate and acknowledge their achievements.
However in principle and in humanity I didn’t only oppose this Sudden development levy imposed on all the students of ESUT, but I condemn it entirely.
This Levy is an attempt to unequivocally increase crime amongst students in our dear Citadel of Learning,
What will be the Faith of our parents who struggle to pay their Wards School fees?
What will be the faith of those hardworking students who denied themselves comfort in order to pay the high school fees of ESUT?
The management should know that many of her students pay their bills without anybody’s intervention!.
I could vividly remembered when the first year students paid the huge sum of #15,000 and no one countered it in the face of Incumbent SUG president, Our people always say that when an evil cycled a year it becomes a tradition.
For those who may say think that this does not concern them, It is not their business,
It will not get to them, I will buttress my points here with the very word of “Martin De Murner (1946 Germany)”.
Theycame for the socialist I did not speak up because I am not a Socialist,
They came for the Communist I did not speak speak up because I am not a Communist,
They came for the Trade unionist I did not speak up because I am not a Trade Unionist,
They came for the Jews I did not speak up because I am not a Jew,
Now they have come for me and there is nobody to speak for me.
“I could vividly remembered the protest we wanted making when the management failed to conduct Students Union Government election,
But few people failed us in the Protest journey.
This Levy imposed on the students has no business in the present ESUT.
(Whether first year or General).
I therefore oppose and Vigorously oppose this Levy.
I want to use this great medium to call on the attention of the State Government and National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) both State and National Body, NANS ZONE B leaders and National Association of Enugu state Students to critically look into this Matter before things go wrong in Enugu state University and Science and Technology.
Can the School management tell us why they failed to conduct students Union Government election in the past academic session?
As it stands now the School management decides on everything that is happening in ESUT.
Can we actually begin to tell ourselves the truth as brothers and Sisters?
He that his house is on fire does not pursue rat,We should call a spade a spade.
The issue of campaigns have come and gone, We should carefully take a bold step in correcting this madness in our ESUT, let us begin to chase black goat while the Sun shines because a day will come when u will wake up and realized that ESUT School fees is #250,000..
On this Note, I call on all ESUT comrades to rise and make a decision on this.
Dear Governor,Our Peace loving Leader His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, please come to our rescue.
