Man shot dead, 15-yr-old daughter abducted in Zaria by terror bandits

Terror bandits have stormed Dorayi village of Dutsen Abba ward in Zaria Local Government Area and killed one Alhaji Abdullahi Ardo and kidnapped his 15-year-old daughter, Mariya.

According to a witness, the armed group invaded the village around 2am and went straight to the resident of the deceased.

The witness said, “From there, they went away without further attack on any house or person. We feel they purposely came to pick Alhaji Ardo, and when they attempted, he might have posed some resistance, that’s why they shot him and then abducted his daughter.”

Dorayi village witnessed several bandits’ attacks in the recent past, with many people being abducted, including the village head.

It is the same village that some soldiers and a vigilante were arrested while on their way to collect ransom for the village head.

Meanwhile, the police spokesman in the state, ASP Mohammed Jalige, was yet to respond to calls on the recent incident at the time of filing this report.
