Tottenham can tonight help north London rivals Arsenal win the Premier League should they take points off Manchester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs got back to winning ways on Saturday by coming from behind to beat Burnley, keeping their slim hopes of catching fourth-placed Aston Villa alive in the pursuit of Champions League qualification. City, meanwhile, thrashed Fulham 4-0 earlier that day to keep the pressure on the Gunners but, with the margins so fine, cannot afford a slip-up.
Spurs’ top-four rivals Aston Villa earned a point at home to Liverpool, scoring twice in the final minutes to draw 3-3, but Ange Postecoglou’s side can still finish fourth if they beat City and then Sheffield United on the final day as Villa lose to Crystal Palace. City cannot afford to drop points if they are to beat the Gunners to the title.
