Brentford look to return to form on home soil with a statement with as they host Premier League champions Manchester City tonight.
While the Bees have lost two games in a row at home, they remain a force to be reckoned with. Thomas Frank’s side have taken 22 points at the Gtech Community Stadium, with only Liverpool boasting a better record at home (23).
Last time out in the Premier League, Brentford smashed Southampton 5-0, a result Frank believes ranks amongst his biggest in charge.
They were, however, shocked by Plymouth in the FA Cup third-round on Saturday, falling to a 1-0 defeat.
City, meanwhile, had no such issues as they hammered Salford 8-0 to reach the fourth round, with James McAtee scoring a hat-trick and Jack Grealish getting on the scoresheet for the first time since December 2023.
They are on a two-game winning streak in the League, having thrashed West Ham 4-1 last time out but Pep Guardiola insists it is still too early to say a corner has been turned.
