Arsenal face Monaco in the Emirates Cup in the final pre-season match before the season kick-off against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The Gunners are back in London after their tour of the USA, a trip that brought wins over the MLS All-Stars and Barcelona but a defeat to Manchester United, and return to home comforts for this one-off fixture in north London.
Mikel Arteta’s side then turn their attention to the Community Shield this weekend against Manchester City, so the Arsenal boss will be keen for his side to pick up a victory here and head to Wembley in good form.
Monaco, meanwhile, have been busy playing six games in July. They managed to win three against Real Betis (3-1) Leeds United (2-0) and Bologna (3-2), drawing one with Union Saint-Gilloise (1-1) and losing two to Cercle Brugge (3-0) and Genoa (1-0).
