Anambra govt releases numbers to call to report unlawful activity

Anambra State government has released phone numbers the residents of the State can call to report any form of unlawful activity within their area.

This is coming following a meeting professor Chuwkuma Soludo had with traditional rulers, town union president generals, women leaders and community youth leaders at Dora Akunyili women development centre in Akwa, the capital of the state.

Although, a source had earlier told Parrotvibes that part of the reason for the meeting was to fashion a way out on how to arrest the sinister activities of ragtag gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).

Anambra has become a safe haven for gunmen despite repeated calls by the governnor to every armed group in the state to surrender their weapons and embrace amnesty.

However, Governnor Soludo in a statement posted on his official Facebook page said, the essence of providing phone numbers is to encourage citizens’ collaboration in the quest for a peaceful, secure and liveable Anambra State.

He said, “We have released special lines for active citizens’ collaboration in this quest for a peaceful, secure and liveable Anambra State.

“Feel free to report any unlawful activity within and around you.
