ESUT have joined the league of E-voting system for students election here’s the ESUT Evoting System Simplified Guide.

What is ESUT Evoting System?
The Enugu State University of Science and Technology electronic voting system is a platform that enables eligible voters to have access and vote for candidates of their choice i.e at the SUG level, faculty and departmental level.
Eligibility of candidates to be voted for
According to the recent ESUT SUG constitution amended, first and final year students are not allowed to contest for any post in the school likewise candidates whose CGPA is less than 3.0 or candidates with bad records.
How to login to ESUT Evoting portal
- Visit the official ESUT E-voting portal on www.portal.esut.edu.ng/login.aspx
- Click on Email to see your ESUT custom email
- Tap on login to email
- Paste your ESUT E-voting email address and enter the specified password
- This will log you into the Gmail app/website
- Your information and unique voting code will be sent to you automatically.
How to vote on ESUT E voting portal
Once you have completed the steps above you will see on the ESUT e-voting portal the following category:
- SUG aspirants
- Faculty aspirants
- Departmental aspirants
- Click on the respective categories to vote for the candidate of your choice
- Upon successful voting, a pop-up will indicate you have voted and you can only vote for one person in a category.
Additionally, you can view the voting statistics indicating number of votes, names of candidates, position and time-stamp.
Requirements for ESUT SUG Voting
Eligible voters are to login using their official ESUT students’ email address ending with @esut.edu.ng alongside a matching password with the default password ending with@esut.edu.ng123.
Immediately after a successful email login, candidates are advised to change their default ESUT SUG election password for security purposes.
How much does it cost to vote in the ESUT SUG?
There’s no fee attached to voting for the candidates of your choice and it is against the students union constitution to accept money from aspirants so they will be voted into power. Do not sell your vote, your vote is your right!
Can I vote more than once?
The ESUT e-voting portal does not support multiple voting per category, this is to say that you cannot vote for more than one person in the department level, faculty level and school level.
When will ESUT start SUG election?
According to the official school memo, the Enugu State University of Science and Technology Students Union Election will commence on the 11th day of March 2020.
