One of the passengers who was aboard the air peace on Repatriation flight back to Nigeria has been arrested in his involvement in an armed robbery attack in Enugu State.
The 15 suspect including the returnee suspect one Okonkwo Kingsley who hails from Agbogugu in Awgu LGA of the state was paraded by the men of Nigeria police force at the state headquarters on 1st October 2019.
Ahmad Abdul Rahman while commending the gallantry of the police men stated the items four arms, four cartridges, 13 handsets, one tricycle, three motor vehicles, and an English word while parading the suspects before the jouranlist.
Abdur-Rahman the commisioner of police explained that the suspects were arrested for various offences, including conspiracy and armed, defilement and murder.
Abdur Rahman reteirated his stand and intentions to reduce crime to the barest minimum through proactive measures without losing sight of respect for human rights and the rule of law.
The police boss in Enugu State acknowledged that
“These achievements were made possible through intelligence-led policing measures put in place by the command,” and stated the suspects would be charged to court in line with international best practices and justice to be served and enjoined the general public to go abut their lawful activity without fear of the unknown as the men of the force is on constant patrol to check mate the crime rate in the state, he concluded.
