Senate on Thursday condemned alleged dubious concessioning of four airports by former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration towards the end of his administration.
The Senate therefore resolved to.lauch full-scale investigation to the concession of four airports during the President Buhari’s administration.
Senate decision was sequel to motion which was sponsored by Senator Suleiman Kawu .
Senator Kawu while speaking on the motion noted that the concessioning of Malam Aminu Kano Airport was done less than six days to the expiration of Buhari’s administration and due process was not followed.
He added that the concession by the Buhari led administration raises a fundamental question of injustice on why an elephant proje r with huge public investment would take place just at the end of the administration.
All the Senators who spoke condemned the Federal Executive Council under former President Buhari for granting approval to the alleged dubious concessioning. Continue Reading…
