Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the vociferous leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), has urged the Federal High Court to transfer him to Kuje prison.
While giving his reason for the transfer, the separatist leader alleged that the Department of State Services (DSS) had no medical facility to treat him.
According to Kanu, there is a clear conspiracy for him to die in the secret police detention facility.

“My foot is swollen. I asked them to conduct surgery, and they said they couldn’t. There is a conspiracy for me die in detention. I want to be transferred to Kuje.”
Meanwhile, this is coming after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, rejected his bail application on Tuesday.
Justice Binta Nyako, the trial judge, instead ordered an accelerated hearing of his case.
While reacting to the judgement, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Alloy Ejimakor expressed displeasure over the bail application denial.
He noted that they can not go on with the proceedings if they have not been given any opportunity to speak with their client.
“It has been very difficult to have a meeting with Mr Kanu in the custody of the DSS, as their conversation with him, is always been monitored and Mr Kanu is still wearing the same outfit which the court ordered to be changed”, Ejimakor said. Continue Reading…
