Edo State chapter of commercial sex workers in Nigeria, have announced plan to embark on strike action on February 28th over the growing economic hardship in the country.

Jennifer Osas, the spokesperson of the association in Edo State, said that they have resolved to express their grievances over the untold hardship under President Bola Tinubu through the planned strike. Read More…

She stressed that the high cost of living across the country has seriously affected their patronage and that many of their members can no longer afford to take care of their families.

Speaking further, Osas affirmed that it became necessary to let the whole nation and world know what they have been passing through since President Tinubu took over the baton of leadership.

While narrating how the strike action will be carried out, she said that unless something urgent is done to arrest the situation, they would move across major streets in Benin-City and eventually land at the government house where they would address the state Governor Godwin Obaseki.
