Crystal Palace host Arsenal at Selhurst Park on Monday night over a year after the pair met on the opening day of last season.
The Gunners ran out 2-0 winners on that occasion, banishing the painful memories of their defeat to Brentford on the opening day of 2021/22, and quickly proved their win over Patrick Vieira’s side was no flash in the pan.
Arsenal went on to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title, while Palace went in an entirely different direction. After a promising first season in charge, Vieira was sacked as the Eagles threatened a battle against relegation, with former boss Roy Hodgson coming in to save the day.
He remains in charge in south London but will know he has work cut out for him against an entertaining and much improved Arsenal.
