The explosion, which took place around 11:30 AM, was caused by a tanker carrying fuel that went off while navigating the busy expressway. Eyewitnesses reported that the blast was so powerful it damaged nearby passenger vehicles and caused significant chaos in the area.
Due to the severity of the explosion and the fire that followed, passersby found it difficult to reach the scene quickly. The victims, reportedly burnt beyond recognition, are believed to have been in the affected vehicles when the explosion occurred.
As of now, authorities have yet to confirm the full extent of casualties or what exactly caused the tanker to catch fire. Continue Reading…
