The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has declared the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Hon. Uzodinma Nwafor, the winner of the chairmanship election for Etche Local Government Area in the just-concluded local government polls in Rivers State.
The surprising twist means that the Action Peoples Party secured 22 out of the 23 chairmanship positions across the state, making Etche the only local government area where a different party prevailed. Read More…
Hon. Nwafor is currently seated alongside other chairmen-elect as the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) prepares to issue certificates of return to the winners in a ceremony taking place shortly.
Later today by 4pm, Governor Siminalayi Fubara will swear in the newly elected Chairmen.
