It was indeed another sad day in Enugu as a proclaimed man of God allegedly took the life of a young lady presumed to be his girlfriend.
A pastor identified as Chukwuemeka Ezeh has been arrested by the Enugu state police command for killing his girlfriend Miss Ogechukwu Ogbodo at her apartment in railway axis of Enugu metropolis.
He visited the girlfriend on July 15 2019 and discovered that the lady has the sum of two million naira in her possession, the young man out of greed took the life of the lady and ransacked her house and made away with the money and some other documents of the lady’s landed properties.
It was learnt that the pastor used the stolen money to procure musical instruments for his church and also did some renovations in his church.
Upon his arrest, he confessed that he killed the lady because she refused to buy him tricycle popularly known as keke napep in the area, citing further that the girlfriend has been buying tricycle for other people for hire purchase.
The young man is still in police custody and will be further charged to court after proper investigation.
